Flecken This Valentine’s Day, we are getting up early and participating in a fundraiser for our local animal shelter, the SPCA of Central Florida. It’s an annual tradition for us, although this is the first time it’s fallen on Valentine’s Day. We’ve been collecting donations ever since last year, and mama even helped me open a store where I can sell blankies and quilts..and every penny of those sales is being donated to the animal shelter. I’m also going to be entered in the kissing contest! How embarrassing! Kissing my mother in public! But a dog’s gotta do what a dog’s gotta do! And when the walking, and the kissing and the fundraising is over…we are gonna go home and take the best nap we ever had! Armani Armani's Mom says: “He's a 12 wk. old apple head chihuahua! I work a dog boutique that provides job coaching for adult's with developmental disabilities. A lady brought some puppies into our store thinking we were a shelter. I fell in love with Armani when I first saw him. Armani loves playing with his sister and two brothers. He is very quit and kind of stays to himself. His favorite toy would have to be this little Car stuffed toy that we got out of a cereal box. He loves it. At 12 wks. old Armani is able to sit for a treat.” 9th Place Winner

Bella Bella's Mom says: “This is our little Bella. She is the baby of the family, at 2 years old. We can't get enough of her snowy white fur and her angelic face. Not only does she appear cute, but Bella has such a loving personality. She loves to cuddle and gets jealous when our other dog gets attention. And when you feel sad, she'll give you kisses to make you feel better. Bella also loves to eat, and her favorite food is peanut butter. When I say, "Supplement time!", she'll come running. Plus it's funny to watch her eat peanut butter. But we all love our baby Bella too too much.” 7th Place Winner
Dora Dora's Mom says: “She is sweet, drooly and always hungry. In fact, this shot was taken while she was begging for food. Whenever we leave a room, we have to move anything even remotely edible away from the sides of the counter. She is actually REALLY long and can reach anything unless it is pushed back to the wall or on the fridge. :)”

I am one happy Dobie today, actually I'm happy each and every day but today is special. I just learned that I am the Grand Prize winner of the Adopt 09 Contest. That is really a very special honor but all the adopted furbabies are the real winners and the lucky people who adopt them are winners also.

Don't want to take any photos? Purchase a date block in honor of your special fur baby! Date blocks are a great way to get involved in this wonderful fundraiser and to have your dog or cat honored "in ink".
Date blocks are reserved dates on the calendar where your special memory will be printed. Do not submit a photo for the date blocks, they are text only.
The deadline for submission is August 31st, 2011.
These can include one or more of the following:

• Adoption anniversary (aka Gotcha date for Dogster’s and Catster’s out there)

Submission Rules:
• Deadline for submissions is Sept 15th, 2011
• Digital submissions only by email.
• All photos must be high resolution and must be clear
• Photos can be landscape or portrait
• Photos must contain only dogs or cats (no humans please).
• Photos must be submitted by an adult 18 years or older. Pampered Paw Gifts reserves the right to verify proof of age.
• You may enter multiple times but for different pets.
• Photos are to be submitted to pamperedpawgifts@yahoo. com with 2012 Calendar as the subject. Please include the names of the dogs in the file names of the photos.
•Don't forget to attach your pictures. Please DO NOT copy and paste the photo into the e-mail. The photos may be submitted in JPG format files as an attachment to the e-mail message.
Eligible dogs and cats photos should be one of the following categories:
