HELP SPREAD THE WORD
We help to support many rescue organizations by providing
some of their vital information and links right here on
our web site! If you are a rescue/animal welfare organization
and would like to be included here, please send us an e-mail.
HELP SAVE A LIFE
We believe very strongly in helping to end the never-ending cycle of
killing millions of perfectly healthily, loveable dogs and cats. So
much of this needless killing could be prevented by spaying/neutering
your pets, to prevent the cycle of unwanted, homeless animals.

Dachshund Adoption Rescue and Education (DARE)
is a no-kill, non-profit, 501(c)3 rescue group. As such DARE specializes
in the rescue, rehabilitation and re-homing of dachshunds and dachshund-mixes
regardless of age or health-related issues. As all of the DARE members
are volunteers, 100% of every single penny donated to DARE is spent
to further DARE's mission of the rescue, rehabilitation and re-homing
of dachshunds. As a non-profit, 501(c)3 rescue, all donations to DARE
are tax-deductible and DARE will provide you with a receipt for all
donations to ensure you are able to take advantage of appropriate and
applicable tax deductions related to your DARE donations. Though not
a common occurrence, there may be instances where sufficient monies
are raised for the specified dog. Should this occur, additional monies
will be added to the DARE vetting fund used to pay for the ongoing
vetting expenses incurred by DARE dogs currently in care and new incoming
dogs.

SPOT's Mission is to Educate the community about
the Importance of Spay/Neuter, Training, Adoption and Responsible Pet
Care to help people keep their pets! We offer low cost spay/neuter
to prevent unwanted & accidental litters. Our Focus is Spay/Neuter
because it helps Save Thousands of Lives thru Prevention! Tragically
over 80,000 Cats & Dogs are turned into the shelters in the Tampa
Bay area each year and only One out Four will be adopted, the other
60,000 will be Euthanized. 75% of the animals in the shelters are mixed
breeds, this is a direct result of Pets Escaping to find a mate. Pet
Overpopulation is the number one killer of Cats & Dogs in America.
Spay/Neuter is the only Humane Solution to Pet Overpopulation! SPOT's
Goal is to raise $150,000 to open a low cost spay/neuter clinic so
everyone can afford to spay and neuter their pets!

C.A.R.E., is a non-profit, no-kill animal shelter
founded by Dr. Hal Ott of Ruskin Animal Hospital. Along with a dedicated
group of associates and community leaders in the South Bay area, Dr.
Ott provided the inspiration, leadership, and much of the financial
support to incorporate C.A.R.E. in 2000 and to open their physical
facility on 27th Street in Ruskin in mid-2001. Their purpose is to
rescue, provide shelter, medical care and adoption of neglected, abused,
and unwanted animals.
We also donate gift bags with goodies for parents that adopt a new
furry friend at: Critter Adoption and Rescue Effort, Inc.
A donation of 5% is given back to: Critter Adoption and Rescue Effort,
Inc., http://www.careshelter.org,
whenever the new parents make any future purchases at Pampered Paw
Gifts®, using a certificate number issued to them at the point
of adoption that is located inside the goodie bag.
As for human donations. Two of our gift box styles (noted on product
pages) that were purchased, Five (5) percent of price were donated
to a nonprofit working to end domestic violence.

http://www.hart90.org
HART is a no-kill animal rescue/support group, incorporated
in 1990, that takes in and rehomes stray, abused and unwanted dogs
and cats. Whether the animal is a give-up or a stray, HART works with
local veterinarians, trainers, foster homes, and kennels to provide
temporary care for the pet until s/he is placed in a loving, carefully-screened
forever home.
Due to our home check requirement, except in special circumstances,
HART can only adopt to people in the Washington, DC Metro Area (Northern
Virginia, Maryland, DC).”

Florida Boxer Rescue,
Inc. is a 501c3 not-for-profit volunteer organization. We strive
to rescue unwanted and abandoned purebred Boxers in central and western
Florida and place them in safe, responsible, loving, PERMANENT
homes.
If you are looking to surrender or adopt a Boxer in northern Florida,
please visit our friends at B.A.R.C. for assistance. Likewise, please
contact Coastal Boxer Rescue if you live in the eastern or southern
parts of Florida and need assistance or adoption info.
CHIHUAHUA RESCUE AND TRANSPORT (CRT)
Our purpose is to extend public education and awareness
regarding abuse and neglect. In 2006, CRT placed several
hundred Chihuahuas and Chihuahua mixes in approved homes.
CRT requires an application, vet check, reference check
and home visit for each adopter.
CRT does not warehouse dogs in a shelter. As in most rescue
groups, our dogs are cared for in healthy, safe, loving
foster home environments. CRT foster parents work very hard
to be sure that their foster dog feels safe and loved while
working on housetraining, crate training, socialization,
etc. All our dogs are spayed/neutered, fully vaccinated,
heartworm tested, fecal tested, microchipped, on heartworm
preventative and have all other veterinary needs taken care
of (such as heartworm treatment, dentals, luxating patellas,
etc.) CRT is known, and has always been known, for taking
the injured, infirm and elderly Chihuahuas and Chihuahua
mixes. Please consider the adoption of one of these dogs
as well. Seniors and special needs dogs make great pets
too!

North Shore Animal League America is the world's
largest no-kill animal rescue and adoption center. Across
the country, we rescue, nurture and restore pets to happy
and healthy lives in loving homes. To date, we have rescued
close to 1 million dogs, cats, kittens and puppies.

Coast to Coast Dachshund Rescue, CCDR, was
formed in August 2000 as an all volunteer, 501(c)3 non-profit
organization. We are dedicated to rescuing Dachshunds
and Dachshund mixes all across the country and will help
all Dachshunds regardless of health or age. We are a nationwide
group and have rescued hundreds of dachshunds in the past
7 years! We take doxies from all walks of life, rehabilitate
them, treat any medical problems, and find them loving,
furever homes. Please go to our web site www.c2cdr.org
for further info and to check out our available doxies.
We ALWAYS need foster homes, volunteers and funds to help
all the doxies!

Suncoast Basset Rescue is a not-for-profit,
volunteer effort that rescues Basset Hounds from abusive,
abandoned and unwanted situations just for the love of the
breed. Our organization gives bassets a second chance to
live, as they were intended as someone’s best animal
friend. Our rescue efforts began in 1997 with two volunteers
and help from the Suncoast Basset Hound Club of Tampa, Inc.
We have rescued over 2000 bassets since then. Today, Suncoast
Basset Rescue Inc is a 501c(3), not-for-profit organization
, which exists solely on donations.
Where do the dogs come from? Rescued bassets are from pounds,
shelters, humane societies, are strays whose owners cannot
be found or are relinquished by owners who no longer want
them. Bassets are given up for a variety of reasons. It
may be due to changing lifestyles, the economy, allergies
, and lack of responsibility of owners who no longer want
them. Sometimes they are given up because they were barking
frequently, asking merely for attention that they were not
receiving. At times, they are only hours from death. We
do our best to keep that from happening.
What do we do for the bassets? Suncoast Basset Rescue takes these orphaned
bassets into foster care, where they are loved and cared for until
permanent, forever homes are found. Suncoast provides veterinary care,
which includes vaccinations, spaying and neutering, heartworm prevention,
flea and tick prevention and good old TLC.
Who are the volunteers in basset rescue? Suncoast is not
a kennel. We do not have a paid staff. All of our workers
are volunteers who have full-time jobs and personal responsibilities.
but when we place a rescued basset in a loving, adoptive
home to live the rest of his/her life, it makes all those
volunteer hours worth every penny!
There are many times when we have way too many dogs coming
in and never enough of foster homes to place them in...
then comes along a wonderful human being who is so willing
to help the cause or a special basset who gives you that
wonderful, soulful look and it make it all worthwhile.

Greyhound Pets of America Florida
Southeast Coast Chapter
GPA FL/SE is the Florida - Southeast Coast chapter of Greyhound
Pets of America. It is a 501(c)3 corporation organized and
run completely by volunteers who are dedicated to finding
responsible, loving homes for racing greyhounds who no longer
qualify to compete at the racetrack.
GPA FL/SE maintains a kennel for up to
9 greyhounds at a time and has a wonderful network of volunteers
who help with the 4 daily turnouts and 2 feedings. We are
always looking for additional volunteers.
As GPA FUSE is an entirely volunteer organization,
all funds received go to the care of the dogs, maintaining
the kennel, events which promote greyhound adoption and

Tampa Bay Beagle Rescue, Inc., is a non-profit
organization dedicated to rescuing and rehabilitating abused
and neglected Beagles so that they can find permanent, loving
homes. We are the only nonprofit organization in Florida
dedicated exclusively to rescuing Beagles

Yes, we were THE RESCUE RENEGADES and we soon
learned that many people had been waiting to support an
organization like Small Paws for quite some time! We could
see that we were indeed doing what God had wanted us to
do by the way the dogs...were affecting the people who were
adopting them!
Now Small Paws® Rescue has over 800 volunteers and
over 6000 supporters in 20 countries, making us the largest
rescue organization for Bichons (and Bichon Mixes) in existence
today.
We are an organization who believes in the miracle healing
power of prayer!

GREAT, Inc. is a non-profit greyhound rescue
and adoption organization located in central Florida. We
find homes for greyhounds that can no longer compete in
racing. GREAT has placed over a thousand greyhounds since
1990.
Although we are not affiliated with the racing
industry, we do receive our dogs from the trainers and owners
who want to place their retired racers in private homes.
We also take in stray greyhounds that have been surrendered
to animal shelters.
The greyhounds we receive are evaluated through
our foster care program. Foster care provides a temporary
home for the greyhound during its transition from track
to home.
Our main objectives are to educate people
as to what wonderful pets greyhounds can be, to place greyhounds
in adoptive homes, and achieve greater public awareness
about the over-breeding of racing greyhounds and the mass
euthanasia that results due to this practice.
The success of our organization depends solely
on the efforts of volunteers, our network of foster parents,
and donations from the community.
Volunteering is a way you can help. GREAT
always needs volunteers to help with the dogs at public
appearances and other functions, such as fundraisers and
special events throughout the year. Please call 813-971-4732
if you are interested in becoming a volunteer.

Lab Rescue of the Labrador Retriever Club of the Potomac
is an all-volunteer, non-profit organization (Non-Profit
Tax I.D. 52-1880024) with a two-fold mission: (1) we rescue,
foster and place homeless, abused, and/or abandoned Labrador
Retrievers (and Golden Retriever-Labrador Retriever mixes)
and (2) we provide a referral service for owners seeking
to place their Labradors in new homes. We are similar
to other animal placement groups such as shelters and
humane societies, but we specialize in Labradors. The
orphans we receive first are evaluated for temperament
and then placed with foster families where they are loved,
exercised and further evaluated as they await adoption.
All of our dogs are provided with rabies and distemper
shots, heartworm check and, if possible, spayed/neutered.
We place over 650 Labradors each year. You can reach us
at 301-299-6756 or write to us at P.O. Box 1741, Silver
Spring, Maryland, 20915.

The mission of the Gulf Coast Humane Society
is to provide humane care for surrendered animals in Southwest
Florida by offering refuge, providing medical care, and
facilitating an adoptive home.
